Trees

Sometimes when you take the time to look around you, you see the most unexpected things. Who would have thought I would spot a beautiful parrot in Richmond.

The walks around Richmond are beautiful, forests full of incredible trees, I am always amazed at how beautiful they are, and wonder what they have lived through.
I felt very inspired this day by all the greenery. So I wrote this..

Said The Girl To The Tree

"Oh how I love thee" said the girl to tree,
"Your leaves for shade, your branches to hold me,
Reach down your lovely arms to my waist and steady me.
Your body seems timelesss old tree,
Your trunk covered in lines like those around my grandmothers eyes,
you've stood through many seasons and each has left you with a sign, a picture to the story.

Oh lovely tree wrap your arms around me.

My feet entwined around your branches, we will watch the world go by.
I will nourish your roots and you will give me shade,
time will drift by like the streams that flow below us.
Let's dance forever in this place, along this river,
you will watch me and I will stand by you,
forever lovely tree.
Forever."

If your reading this you should really go outside and just for a few minutes enjoy the wonder around you. It's worth it. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust you too will nourish the greenery one day.. so enjoy the wonder of it all, while you can. :)
